Game, Fish, & Park predict good summer on the Missouri River

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- It should be a good summer for using the Missouri River for recreation.  The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission was updated at their meeting in Custer last week on the status of the Mighty Mo’s levels.  Pat Busher, Central Parks Regional Supervisor for the G-F-and-P says April moisture has made made a nice increase in forecast elevation.

Busher says the increase should create more access to Lake Oahe.

Busher says marinas on Oahe are also in good shape.

Busher expects 17 of the 23 boat ramps on Lake Oahe to be accessible this summer.
