Gayville-Volin to move online for at least one week

GAYVILLE, S.D. (WNAX) – The Gayville-Volin School District will move to online learning for at least the next week.

Superintendent Jason Selchert says they have a growing number of positive coronavirus cases among staff and students.

Selchert says they are also watching the close contacts to those that have tested positive.

Selchert says they appreciate the cooperation from their parents.

The school website reports three high school staff and six students with active cases and one staff member in the elementary school. Selchert says they plan to return to the classrooms on Oct. 7.
