Gene Morsching retiring after 37 years with Aberdeen Parks & Rec

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Gene Morsching announced earlier this year that he will be retiring as Recreation Superintendent for Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department.

Morsching spoke to the Aberdeen City Council Monday & wanted to thanks everyone involved starting with the full time staff.

Morsching appreciated the work of part-time staff that worked with him over the years.

Morsching also thanked the leadership on the Aberdeen City Council throughout his career.

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department will have a retirement party for Morsching at the ARCC on Thursday May 16th from 2-4pm.  The party is open to the public.

The Aberdeen City Council approved Travis Lemer as the new Recreation Superintendent.
