The seat is not only an open but for now a vacant seat due to Justin Reinbold resigning because he moved out of the district. Ekanger was asked if he would be ready to serve immediately after the election if asked by the council.
Ekanger was asked why people should vote for him over his challenger Nicole Schutter.
Ekanger talks about he will people to vote in an election that likely will have a very low voter turnout.
Election day is Tuesday, June 3rd. Early voting begins on Monday.
