PIERRE, S.D. (DRG News) – South Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice David Gilbertson hit a career milestone today — 25 years serving on the state Supreme Court.
Gilbertson says the state’s top court wears two hats.
For the last 19 years, he has served as Chief Justice.
Gilbertson says next week, the Court will do something it’s never done before.
Gilbertson is the longest serving Justice ever on the South Dakota Supreme Court. He faces mandatory retirement in January of 2021.
