WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)- With gas prices in this country at their highest level in four years, many consumers are turning to ethanol-blended fuel at the pump as a way to save money.
Jim Seurer (sye-ur) is the CEO of Glacial Lakes Energy in Watertown. He says the savings can be significant–in some cases 70 to 80-cents a gallon cheaper for an E-30 blend.
And he says the ethanol industry is slowly gaining more market share nationally.
Nationally, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded, with no ethanol blend, is now $4.30 a gallon.
