PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – As COVID-19 infection numbers surge in South Dakota, the reporting process has seen some glitches in the past couple of weeks.

Health Department Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon says they do watch the reporting and process.

Malsam-Rysdon says the posted numbers didn’t impact their tracking and tracing.

Malsam-Rysdon says they do get resistance to their reporting.

The state now has over 2,700 active cases.
