Golden Eagles Earn First Sweep In Program History

ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles picked up their first sweep in program history on Thursday afternoon from the campus of NSU. Central downed the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers 8-4 & 11-6 in game one & two respectively. Before yesterday, Mo/Po had only lost one game on the season & arrived in the Hub City at 9-1.

In game one, Kaylee Kiesow pitched a complete game and scattered eight hits over five innings and struck out 9 Tiger batters. She got run support and solid days at the plate from Jayla Breaw, Avery Bendewald & Addyson Keller in particular. Breaw was perfect at the plate, going 3-3 and a run scored. Bendewald was also perfect in three plate appearances & a run scored, while Addyson Keller was 2-3 with a run scored & a run batted in.

In game two, the Golden Eagles offense exploded for 11 runs & saw six RBI from six different players. In the circle, Kylee Hoffman went the full five innings of work and struck out three and surrendered just two earned runs all afternoon. Aberdeen Central will look to build upon their back-to-back wins on Friday, as they welcome in the RC Stevens squad for a pair of games at Koehler Hall of Fame Field, on the campus of Northern State University.
