Gov. Noem says state willing to help localities get ready for flooding

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem says the state is willing to help any locality get ready for expected flooding in the next couple of weeks.

She says they are keeping an eye on all of east river.

Noem says its not only rivers that are expected to rise.

Noem says the James River valley will have different challenges.

Noem says people and local governments have some time to prepare. The National Weather Service is predicting a warm up this weekend that could kick start some of the flooding.
