SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem defended her stance on womens and girls sports at a news conference in Sioux Falls.
She says her decisions are made to help people.
Noem had issued a style and from veto of HB 1217 which would limit trans gender females participation in sports.
She says they consulted legal authorities across the country about the prospects of defending the potential new state law.
Noem says she is forming a coalition to defend her position across the country.
Noem says it is up to the legislature to decide on her style and form veto.
