Governor Larry Rhoden visit northeast South Dakota on Wednesday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday, Governor Larry Rhoden made two stops in northeast South Dakota.

His first stop was at the ribbon cutting for the new Edmunds County Detention Center in Ipswich.

Rhoden credit the people there for getting the detention center up and running in Ipswich.

Rhoden talks about the benefits this will provide for the region.

His other stop was at Northern State University for a cording ceremony honoring those who are graduating from college or high school with connections to the military either active duty or miltary veteran.

Governor Rhoden inform the public about his role in the South Dakota National Guard.

Rhoden share the story of when his father was serving in the military during World War II in Europe.

Rhoden talks about the meaning of freedom and the role each generation has going forward.

NSU’s Commencement will be coming up 10am Saturday at the Barnett Center.
