MITCHELL, S.D.(KMIT)- Next Monday, lawmakers will return to Pierre for Veto Day where they will consider any vetoes issued by Governor Noem. As the session ended earlier this month, some legislators were optimistic that there would be few and possibly no bills vetoed by the governor. At a stop in Mitchell last week, Governor Noem said it was too early to speculate.
She said she was happy with the overall tone of this year’s legislative session.
As of Monday, the governor had not vetoed any bills.
