Governor Noem now accepting applications for Winter/Spring Interns

PIERRE, S.D.(Press Release) – Governor Kristi Noem is now accepting applications for the Governor’s Office Winter and Spring 2024 Internship Program. The internship program provides students first-hand experience with state government and the functions of the Governor’s Office.

Student interns will work with the governor’s staff on various projects based on the applicant’s interests and strengths. Work may include research projects, helping with meetings and events, and general office staffing. Additional duties include aiding the governor’s policy team, general counsel, constituent services team, and communications team.

 

The length of this in-person internship is negotiable, though the ideal candidate will be available through the entirety of South Dakota’s legislative session, January 8th-March 24th, 2024. The internship may be extended through mid-May.

 

College students who would like to be considered for an internship should submit a resume, cover letter, and letter of recommendation to brad.otten@state.sd.us. Applications should be submitted by Friday November 3, 2023.
