PIERRE, S.D.(KMIT)- Fiscal analysts from the Legislative Research Council and the Bureau of Finance and Management estimated the state will collect about one hundred million dollars more in state taxes next year. Governor Kristi Noem says she is not comfortable with those projections.
A bill has been introduced to reduce the state sales tax by a half percent. Noem says she has not yet decided whether to support that proposal.
Legislators are off Monday for the President’s Day holiday and will return to Pierre today.
