Governor Rhoden hosted a Tele-Town Hall on Thursday

PIERRE, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- Governor Larry Rhoden held a Tele-Town Hall Thursday night where he fielded questions from citizens in the state of South Dakota.

Governor Rhoden talked about the differences between his campaign and that of Toby Doeden’s campaign.

Several questions were asked about taxes.  One Brown County resident asked about how he would address property taxes.  Rhoden clarified when the property tax relief goes into effect.

Rhoden stated the example of impact on Brown County property owners.

Rhoden also went after Doeden’s campaign on how he’s addressing property taxes while addressing how reducing property taxes would impact the schools.

Rhoden also clarified how city sales taxes can only be increased if voters choose to do so.

Other issues were also brought up in the town hall.  Rhoden discussed how he addressed drug enforcement in the state.

Rhoden discussed his pro life stance.

Rhoden talked about his views on economic development.  One key is trying to keep young people within the state.

Rhoden talked about how this year they addressed improving rural healthcare.

Rhoden is looking to seek his first full term as Governor if reelected.
