Volleyball

MITCHELL, SD (Press Release) – Senior middle blocker from Langford, South Dakota, Ady Dwight has been named the 2023 CSC Academic All-American Volleyball Player of the Year as well being named to the First Team. Dwight has a 3.86 cumulative GPA with her nursing major. On the court, she is a three-time NAIA All-American first team selection. Dwight is a four-time AVCA All-Region first team pick. She earned GPAC Attacker of the Year and GPAC first team laurels following her senior season. Dwight also received the NAIA National A.O. Duer Scholarship Award back in September which is only awarded to one male and female NAIA athlete.

Senior highlights/bio: Played in all 34 matches for the Tigers as a middle blocker. Was named the GPAC Attacker-of-the-year while also earning GPAC First Team honors. The dominance for Dwight continued in her senior year racking up a staggering 556 kills to go with a career best .345 attack percentage while compiling 97 total blocks. Dwight during the season moved into second all-time in kills at 1,841. Ady was named GPAC Attacker-of-the-week three times during weeks three, six, and ten. Dwight finished the regular season ranked first in the GPAC and NAIA in kills. Was credited with career high’s in digs as well with 44 and aces with her 10. Set a new career-high with 29 kills vs. Dakota State (10/3/23) which is the most since at least 2012. Had at least 10 kills in 31 of the 34 matches on the season while having 15+ kills in 21 matches. Had a season-high seven total blocks at No. 10 Midland (10/6/23).
