- On Wednesday from Groton, the Legion Post 39 squad continued their hot play with their seventh straight victory, downing the Clark/WL Senators 5-1. The main reason was stellar pitching from Ryan Groeblinghoff; he went nearly a complete game, six and two thirds innings and only surrendered a pair of hits and a run. He struck out 12 senators in the victory. Groton got all five of their runs batted in from batters three, four & five. Bradin Altoff was 1-3 with a pair of RBI + Tate Larson shared that same 1-3, 2RBI stat line. In addition to them, Logan Ringgingberg was 1-3 at the dish with a run batted in. Groton’s defense was perfect in the field, recording zero errors. With the win, Post 39 ups their record to 11-5 and they’ll be back in action on Friday, July 7th against Post 19.
