ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After new head coach Matt Wilber was announced as the next leader of the pack, he’ll have a new player on the hardwood in ’25-’26, Groton native, Lane Tietz. The true sophomore, who was named the NSAA freshman of the year, announced on his X page on Tuesday his commitment to Northern State, “Home sweet home. #GoWolves.” Tietz averaged 11.3 points per game, he was also 2nd in the North Star in terms of free throw percentage at 87.8%. Tietz was also fourth in the conference in total assists. When Northern State defeated Dakota State this last year, Tietz led the Trojans with 15 points on four of four from the three point line, he also snagged a team high five rebounds.
