Milbank
The Groton Junior squad took down Milbank for the consolation championship, 6-5 in nine innings. The back & forth battle saw Groton Junior score first w/ a run in the T3 before Milbank snagged the league w/ 2R in their half of the frame. After building the lead to 4-1 in the B5, Milbank coughed up 2R in the T6 to have their lead trimmed to one, and then the Groton Juniors took the lead w/ 2R in the T7. Milbank wouldn’t go down w/out a fight, though, tying the game in the B7 w/ a run and forcing extra frames. A lone run in the T9 put the Groton Junior team ahead for good. Cole Simon & Jayden Zak each plated a pair for the Groton Junior squad.
