YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The groundbreaking this week for a major expansion of the Manitou plant in Yankton is part of the company’s overall growth plan.

Manitou Equipment America – Managing Director Franck Buisard says they need to expand to meet rapidly rising demand.

Buisard says their customer base is growing.

Buisard says equipment produced at the Yankton plant will soon be going to overseas customers.

The Yankton plant expansion will add over seventy thousand square feet of production space to meet their goal of a thirty percent increase in output by next year.
