Group looking at sedimentation at Lewis & Clark Lake held their meeting Friday

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A group looking for solutions to ongoing sedimentation of Lewis & Clark Lake held their annual meeting Friday in Yankton.

Scott Kostal of Springfield, Executive Director of the Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition, says the response to the meeting was encouraging.

Kostal says they would like to see some action on the lake in the next couple of years.

Kostal says their meeting was the end of Phase 2 of the process.

Officials with the Corps of Engineers outlined some of the costs and benefits of reducing sedimentation into Lewis & Clark Lake, and the long-term outlook for the lake and Gavins Point Dam.
