PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – A group supporting legalization of marijuana kicked off their ballot issue campaign.
“South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws” is backing the two issues voters will decide in November.
Spokesman Brendan Johnson says current marijuana laws are outdated.
Johnson says the laws put young people at risk.
Johnson says he expects a bipartisan coalition backing the measures.
The group is backing “Amendment A” which would legalize marijuana and “Initiated Measure 26” which legalizes medical marijuana.
