OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – Economists are watching carefully for any signs of an impending recession.

Ernie Goss, of Creighton University in Omaha, says there are growing signals of a slowing economy.

Goss says growth is slowing at the national and regional level.

Goss says there are some trade issues that could further tip the scale toward a recession.

The monthly Mid America Business Conditions Survey, which Goss compiles, showed the regional economy rapidly slowing in its August report.
