PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – As cases of COVID-19 surge in South Dakota, Health Department Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon says they are not changing their guidelines for tracking and tracing.
About nine hundred new cases have been reported since Friday. Malsam-Rysdon says they continue to follow up each new case.
State Epidemiologist Dr Josh Clayton says they watch for updates from the CDC.
The state has now recorded over 13,000 positive cases since testing began in March.
