PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The gas appliance debate came to the floor of the South Dakota House yesterday. Social media has been aflame with worries about gas stoves and other appliances being banned.

Representative Ben Khromer of Mitchell is the prime sponsor.

Representative Linda Duba of Sioux Falls says its another case of the legislature overruling local governments.

The bill passed on a vote of sixty four to six and now heads to a Senate committee.
