TRIPP, S.D.(WNAX)- Counties are usually at the end of the funding chain for roads and bridges.
Representative Caleb Finck of Tripp says legislators passed more bills this year that should send more dollars to local governments.
Finck, Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, says there is a good chance of federal transportation dollars flowing down through the state.
Finck says the state program will give counties some idea of how much money they can count on.
Finck says most of the money is aimed at helping counties upgrade and replace small bridges and culverts.
