SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- It started with a high-speed chase with Sioux Falls Police.

It ended with the arrest of 42-year old Johnnie Hawkins, Jr. in rural Dell Rapids.

Captain Josh Phillips of the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s office says Hawkins allegedly pointed a gun at a rural Dell Rapids family in their home Tuesday night.

He allegedly had a brush with Siuox Falls police in a stolen car earlier in the day.

Hawkins is being held on a 200-thousand dollar cash bond.
