PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Lots of people are expected to be on the roads this holiday weekend and the South Dakota Highway Patrol is gearing up to handle the increase.
Superintendent Colonel Rick Miller says there is a lot going on this weekend.
Miller says people need to pay attention to the road in front of them.
Miller says they will have full shifts on duty all weekend.
This is Miller’s first travel holiday as Superintendent. He assumed command of the Highway Patrol on June 21.
