PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The new Superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol says they want to be good partners with local law enforcement.
Colonel Rick Miller says they can bring extra resources to county sheriffs and police departments.
Miller says he is quickly becoming familiar with the legal side of the highway patrol.
Miller says he wants to place a strong emphasis on hiring.
Miller says they added an additional four troopers in the last year and may add more in the future.
