Excessive heat has caused the cancellation of events and makes things miserable out side for humans and animals alike, Vet Tech Erica Hagan talks about some breeds that are more susceptible than others.
There are precautions and options to help aid in your pet’s health, but Hagan gave us the best way to avoid the heat.
If you are in the heat with your pet for extended periods of time, she talked about some warning signs to be on the look out for.
Hagan also reminds people to be aware of hot surfaces like asphalt and concrete and how it can hurt the pads of the animals feet. When in doubt, caution is always the best approach.
