YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Hot, dry weather and increased demand is pushing the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System to speed up their expansion plans.
Executive Director Troy Larson says they are moving ahead with their plans to add more water treatment capacity.
Larson says the demand for water is rising faster than they expected.
The current system has been falling short of demand because a new, high capacity well has been delayed due to equipment supply issues. That new well is expected to be online later this month.
