PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- A bill that would allow medical professionals to dispense ivermectin for treatment of Covid-19 and other infections was debated in the South Dakota Senator Health and Human Services Committee.
Representative Tony Randolph of Rapid City testified in support of the bill, talking about his experiences with Covid-19.
Justin Bell, a lobbyist for the South Dakota Medical Association, told the Senators the bill is not needed.
Senator Art Rusch of Vermillion said it is a bad bill.
The committee voted seven to zero to send the bill to the 41st day, effectively killing it.
