ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – On March 15, 2020 at 12;27 p.m., Aberdeen Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire involving a single family home at 1010 S 1st Street. On arrival crews found a small exterior fire that had been extinguished upon arrival. The fire had been extinguished by the neighbors and residents of the home.There was minor damage to the exterior of the home.

Three occupants including two adults and one child were home at the time of the fire and were alerted by the neighbors. Fire crews were on scene for about a half hour. The fire was determined to be unintentional from discarded smoking materials.
