PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- This is the fourth week of this year’s legislative session in South Dakota.
One of the focuses this week for District 24 Representative and House Majority Leader Will Mortenson from Fort Pierre involves creation of a state run public defender’s office.
Mortenson also expects to see multiple pipeline bills get attention this week.
Mortenson says legislators are talking to a variety of stakeholders.
This week is the only one where lawmakers will meet for five days rather than the usual four days.
