ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, District 3 Representative Carl Perry appeared on KSDN to talk about the Medical Marijuana meeting that took place Wednesday in Pierre.

Prior to that we talked about his time at the cultivation farms & dispensaries in Des Moines, IA & Flandreau, SD.

Perry talked about the experience he gained from his stop in Des Moines.

Perry compared the dispensary in Flandreau to that in Des Moines.

Perry overall was very impressed with the organization in Flandreau.

Perry in the meeting Wednesday talks about the timeline that could be in place for cannabis.

Perry explains why he thinks the hospitals(Avera, Sanford, or Monument) are reluctant to testify in front of the committee for now.

One of the potential rules that could be in place is the packaging & advertising in regards to medical marijuana.

During the month of August, there will be work groups to finalize the details of cannabis.  Perry talks about how important to get this done right.

The next scheduled Medical Marijuana Subcommittee meeting is September 1st.
