House set to vote on USMCA trade deal

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The U.S. House is set to vote on the USMCA trade deal this week. Final details between the U.S., Mexico and Canada were worked out last week.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says it has taken quite a while to get here.

Johnson says there should be some positive changes from NAFTA, the deal this is replacing.

Johnson says there are still details to work out on other issues including prescription drugs.

The Senate will not take up the agreement until early next year.
