PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Friday morning, The House State Affairs Committee moved forward HB1052.
That bill would prohibit the exercise of eminent domain for a pipeline that carries carbon oxide.
Representative Karla Lems of Canton was the prime sponsor of the bill.

Following testimony, committee members commented on the bill. Among area legislators, Representative Spencer Gosch of Glenham combatted what David Owen had to say about changing the rules.

Representative Brandei Schaefbauer of Aberdeen criticize those who are in favor of using eminent domain for the project.
The vote was on a 10-3 vote. Among the area legislators, Representatives Spencer Gosch & Brandei Schaefbauer both voted in favor of the bill. The bill now moves on to the South Dakota House.
