ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Richmond Dam project has been working on getting the lake drained enough to get started the construction of dam and spillway.

The question is how this is impacting recreation in the region.

Jordan Menken is with the South Dakota Game, Fish, & Parks Department provided an update at the Brown County Commission meeting on Tuesday.

Menken talks about how camping has gone so far.

Menken discussed the success of frisbee golf is still having.

Menken talked about how the draining of the lake will give them the opportunity to do some cleanup work around the shores going forward.
