YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Rapid progress is being made on construction of the Huether Family Aquatic Center in Fantle Memorial Park in Yankton. A tour on Friday included former Sioux Falls Mayor and Yankton native Mike Huether.

Huether and his family donated $1 million for construction of the aquatic center. He says they appreciate the response.

Huether also made a challenge to make sure the center is accessible to all.

The $13 million project is scheduled for completion by next summer.
