PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Last week, the Hughes County Commission approved a mental health grant for the county. Jennifer Gray, who retired June 30th as Capital Area Counseling Service C-E-O says the county received a rural crisis response grant from the South Dakota Department of Social Services, Division of Behavioral Health.
Gray says the grant will help find a path forward to addressing mental health issues in central South Dakota.
The grant is for one year and may have the ability to be expanded.
The Hughes County Commission gave unanimous support to the grant’s approval.
