PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- A recent incident at the Hughes County Courthouse has Commissioners looking at a way to lock down the building.

Hughes County County Manager Lori Jacobson says following discussions, CommTech, a local technology company provided Hughes County some options.

Jacobson says grant funding for courthouse security could reduce the county’s share of the upgrades.

The option seemed good enough for the Hughes County Commission as they approved the proposals by unanimous vote.
