YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A consultant group has recommended that the Human Services center in Yankton cap the number of beds available at about two hundred.
Department of Social Services Secretary Laurie Gill says that has been their active number for some time anyway.
Gill says the consultants says the focus should be on better services.
Gill says the Department also wants to look for more community based services.
Gill says the report will be the basis of their budgetary discussions with the legislature.
