PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The Human Services Center in Yankton continues to struggle to fill many vacant jobs.

Laurie Gill, Secretary of the Department of Social Services, updated the interim Joint Committee on Appropriations on their employee situation.

Gill says they continue to look for people to fill those jobs.

Gill says they have four units that are closed now.

Gill says they are using sign on bonuses and other incentives to off set the pay scale which is lower than private employers.
