YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Application for business grants from the State of South Dakota are now open. The legislature approved spending up to $400 million of federal CARES Act funding during the special session last week.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says the followed recommendations from the Governor and others.

Hunhoff says she wanted help for start up businesses.

Hunhoff says they also expanded the school aid plan.

The plan also set aside over $100 million for health care providers.
