YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – District 18 state Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton has filed to run for the District 18 Senate seat. Hunhoff says her legislative experience could be helpful now.

Hunhoff, a Republican, could have run for one more term in the state House but says that setting has changed in the last few years.

Hunhoff says she likes to work within a productive process.

Current incumbent District 18 Senator Craig Kennedy has said he will not run for reelection.
