Hunters dealing with wide variety of weather conditions

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Pheasants hunters have had the opportunity to look for birds in a variety of conditions in the past couple of weeks.

Nick Cochran, Conservation Officer with the Game, Fish and Parks, said the weather has ranged from summer-like to winter-like conditions.

He said the numbers of hunters in the area is about the same as in year’s past, but the groups feature smaller amounts of people.

Archery deer season started in September and rifle season will be starting soon.

Cochran said the deer population is looking large and healthy.
