FORT PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The impacts of a summer hail storm are still being dealt with in Fort Pierre. On July 18th, 2023 severe thunderstorms dropped massive hail on Pierre and Fort Pierre and the Fort Pierre City Council is finally ready to address roof damage to some city structures.
Fort Pierre Finance Officer Roxanne Heezen says the city got a number of bids for repairs.
Heezen says the repairs won’t cost Fort Pierre a dime.
The Fort Pierre City Council approved the bid by Montana Construction on a six-zero vote.
