Impact of bill cutting fees businesses must pay for unemployment so far positive

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota legislature this year passed a bill cutting the fees that businesses must pay into the unemployment trust fund.

Nathan Sanderson, Executive Director of the Retailers Association, says it turned into big savings for businesses.

Sanderson says the trust fund can now respond more quickly to changes in the workforce.

The bill was signed by the Governor on February first.
