BROOKINGS, S.D.(KBRK)- Early and absentee voting has begun.

Brian Bengs is an Independent candidate running against incumbent Republican Senator Mike Rounds this fall.

Bengs said he’s working with other Independent candidates around the country.

In 2022, Bengs ran as a Democrat against incumbent Republican Senator John Thune.

Bengs said the two main political parties are more alike than they care to admit.

Election day is November 3.
