BERESFORD, S.D,.(WNAX)- Legislative candidates are working quickly to connect with voters with less than two weeks to the general election.

Brian Burge of Beresford is running as an independent for the District 16 Senate seat. He says there are several issues he is running on.

Burge says he has problems with a 1990s law that prohibited for profit companies running clinics and hospitals.

Burge says he is concerned about the lack of any legislative forums.

Other candidates include democrat Donn Larson of Hudson and incumbent republican Senator Jim Bolin of Canton.
